Fishing Lakes, Fisheries, Angling and Fishing Tackle Shops in Cornwall
There is no close season in Cornwall, therefore fishing is permitted 52 weeks of the year. With fairly mild winters and lakes that don't freeze over, fishing can be enjoyed all year round.
Cornwall can offer some superb trout fishing on South West Water's man-made Lakes in beautiful surroundings. In particular, Argal near Falmouth, which sits in a wooded valley and has a vast stock of rainbow trout and lovely walks through the surrounding woods.Another popular venue is Colliford Lake on the edge of
Bodmin Moor, near Jamaica Inn and known for its brown trout. Also on the north edges of the moor is Crowdy near Camelford, which is a natural fishery for both rainbow and brown trout.
If you are looking for a watersports centre too, you can find one at Siblyback Lake, happily situated on the southern edge of the Moor, near Liskeard. This lake is semi natural as well but is stocked with a good supply of rainbow trout and is fly only.
Temple Trout Fishery, Bodmin boasts two lakes on Bodmin Moor and is stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout.
